Continuing Development Training (CPD) is a vital part of my job as a public service interpreter, throughout the years I have been given the opportunities to attend different trainings around Immigration, Trauma and Mental Health.

I strongly believe that interpreting is not only about interpreting the words, it is also about conveying the feelings and the mindset of the person we are interpreting for. For example, I can’t stress enough about the importance of being trauma informed when it comes to interpreting in trauma focused psychological sessions.
